Our Story
The American Employer Foundation was founded by entrepreneur and business advisor Mike Plummer to challenge conventional thinking about business profitability and employee prosperity.
Throughout his career in mortgage banking, insurance, financial services, and business advisory, Mike recognized a recurring problem: businesses could be highly successful at generating revenue while overlooking opportunities to retain more of the economic value they had already created.
AEF was built around a different approach.
Rather than relying exclusively on additional sales, workforce reductions, or traditional cost-cutting measures, we help employers identify overlooked financial opportunities, improve operational performance, strengthen their employees, and create greater long-term enterprise value.
Today, our leadership and board bring together experience in entrepreneurship, financial services, business development, technology, organizational leadership, capital development, and strategic growth.
